Respond, Recover, Rebuild Better - A Partnership to Rebuild Indonesia Sustainably
Jalal, one of CCPHI's strategic partners gave a presentation on "Respond, Recover, Rebuild Better: A Partnership to Rebuild Indonesia in a Sustainable Way" in the webinar of the Presidential Staff Office of the Republic of Indonesia "Synergy of Community Movement: Facing the Impact of Adapting New Habits" which was held on 23 June 2020.
In his presentation, he cited the results of research from GlobeScan entitled Purposeful Leadership in a Time of Crisis. The research describes the company's response to the Covid-19 pandemic until March 30, 2020. During this period there were 12 main response initiatives that could be grouped into 4 categories, namely: business adaptation, philanthrophy, collaborative, and shared value. The last three categories require close partnerships with stakeholders.
Torres-Rahman and Nelson in Business and COVID 19 published a response framework as a reference for how the business sector can support lives (health and security), livelihoods (jobs and income), and learning (education and skills) which can be carried out in three timeframes, namely: respond, recover, and rebuild better.
Various initiatives have been carried out by the business sector in Indonesia in response to COVID 19 in the categories of business adaptation, shared value, collaboration, and philanthrophy. These various initiatives have been carried out both individually and jointly with other stakeholders from the government sector and civil society.
