The 35th Partnership Forum: “Partnership in Knowledge Sector: Research Collaboration for Policy Making.”
For the first time, CCPHI held the Partnership Forum focusing on the knowledge sector. Knowledge Sector Initiative (KSI) hosted the 35th Partnership Forum in their office on the 9th floor of Ratu Plaza Office Building, Jakarta on Wednesday, 2 August 2017 featuring the “Partnership in Knowledge Sector: Research Collaboration for Policy Making.” In this Forum, KSI with one of its partners, Cakra Wikara Indonesia (CWI), shared the information and learning process to the attending participants, on how partnerships are formed and implemented, including its results and impact.
The Knowledge Sector Initiative (KSI) is a joint programme between the governments of Indonesia and Australia that seeks to improve the lives of the Indonesian people through better quality public policies that make better use of research, analysis and evidence.
The partnership between the two organizations started when KSI granted the competitive technical support to strengthen good governance of research institutions to CWI and eight other research institutions in 2010 – 2012. It was followed by partnerships in knowledge sector for the first phase between 2014 and 2017. Various research studies, including those on Women’s Political Representation and Citizen Political Participation were impacted by the grant. The results of those research studies could be recognized by the quality, credibility, and their high-level policy recommendations.
The 35th Partnership Forum was attended by 46 participants from companies, NGOs, education institutions, and the media, with Rahmi Hidayati from Yayasan Lentera Anak Negeri Indonesia (Lentari) as the moderator.
