Panel discussion: “A Sprint to the Finish Line: Supporting Indonesia to Meet Millennium Development Goals in Maternal and Child Health”
Kemal Soeriawidjaja, Executive Director Company-Community Partnerships for Health in Indonesia/CCPHI became one of the speakers in the panel discussion with the topic of “A Sprint to the Finish Line: Supporting Indonesia to Meet Millennium Development Goals in Maternal and Child Health” on Monday, September 25th, 2013 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Jakarta. The discussion aims to see Indonesia’s progress in achieving Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) especially on indicator number 4 (reduce child mortality) and number 5 (improve maternal health status). Kemal spoke on behalf of the civil society sector with the topic on “Public Private Partnership”.
The other speakers at the discussion were Prof. Fasli Jalal (Head of the National Population and Family Planning Board/BKKBN), Gita Maya (representative of the Director General of Health Services Ministry of Health, Republic of Indonesia), John Leigh (Health Director AusAID Indonesia), Rachel Cintron (Deputy Director of the Office of Health and Head of Maternal and Child Health, USAID Indonesia), Suneeta Sharma (Senior Health Adviser, Futures Group), and Farley R. Cleghorn (Senior Vice President and CTO Futures Group). Alonzo Fulgham (Board Member GRM-Futures Group) was the Moderator.
