The Urgency of Establishing Partnerships in Environmental Issues
CCPHI and Eurocham Indonesia in collaboration with the World Resource Institute (WRI)—which currently hosts the AFi Southeast Asia Secretariat in Indonesia—held a discussion session with members of CCPHI and Eurocham Indonesia regarding the company's sustainability commitments while providing a thorough understanding of AFi's initiatives. The event was held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Shangri-la Hotel Jakarta.
CCPHI's partnership with the World Resources Institutes (WRI) is to promote the Accountability Framework (AFI), which is a global initiative that can be used as a reference for the creation, application, and evaluation in reviewing supply chain commitments covering environmental and environmental aspects. social. AFi is embodied in a set of definitions, norms, and general guidelines that can provide greater clarity, consistency, effectiveness and accountability in the implementation of these various commitments. Through initiatives such as AFi, CCPHI hopes that the private sector can more easily apply the principles of sustainability, and can demonstrate the credibility of its commitments more convincingly in the eyes of the market and civil society.
