The Opening Ceremony of EPSP Batch 8
The EPSP Batch 8 was officially opened by Prof. Firmanzah, Ph.D, as the Rector of Paramadina University. In his speech, Firmanzah emphasized that during the era of competition today, not everything is subject to competition. In responding challenges out there, sometimes it is better done in contribution and collaboration (gotong royong) rather than competition. However the spirit of gotong royong in our society is now decreased by valuation which shows that modern principle of economic does not fit well with culture. Dian Rosdiana, CCPHI Executive Director on her welcome remark reminded that EPSP is not only an academic activity but it should provide more benefits.
Some notable speakers and experts resource in the Session one are academician, practitioner, and inspirational figures such as Prof. Emil Salim, Erna Witoelar, , Kemal Soeriawidjaja, Ayu Dwi Nindyati, Agus Wijayanto, Frans Sugiarta, & Mahmud Syaltout.
The EPSP Batch 8 began on Monday, August 6 at the Paramadina Post-Graduate School Campus, Tempo Building, Jakarta and was attended by 16 participants from companies, NGOs and the government sectors. The participants will attend this education program until November 2018. EPSP is a collaboration between Paramadina University and CCPHI with support of Ford Foundation.
