The quote above is one of the summary of the lifestyle of residents who live in rental apartment (rusunawa) Pulo Gebang, East Jakarta. They are citizens of DKI Jakarta who are relocated by the DKI Jakarta Local Government (Pemda) from a number of river bank locations affected by the river normalization program.
Relocating people from the banks of the river, who used to live with a harsh social environment, crowded, sleeping night should be alternated because the narrow space to the flat (rusun), certainly not an easy thing and easy. It's complicated and complex.
Social problems arise multi-dimensional at various age levels. If not detected and resolved early, in the future can be very dangerous. However, it does not mean choosing a community to stay on the banks of the river is a good choice.

Currently there are about 3,000 residents of rusunawa Pulo Gebang and more than 1,000 of them are children. Inhabitant of the rusunawa, added Rizki very denial when asked something related to their lives in rusunawa. Especially related to the problems of each past.

He also argues that the main problem for residents of towers is how they can manage finances, how to look at money properly. There is the impression they are too easy to get the money so used with as it wants.
In the future, he hopes that the community building program of towers which is a multistakeholder program can be more open. Housing data towers should be opened to all institutions that want to help. Thus each partner institution can take its own portion and keep coordinating with each other. Private and government should not abolish each other and eliminate sectoral ego on all sides.
