Research & Business Forum (FRB) #3’s topic was discussed on 21 March 2018 with speakers from Regional Autonomy Implementation Monitoring Committee (Komite Pemantauan Pelaksanaan Otonomi Daerah/KPPOD), Indonesian Employers' Association (Asosiasi Pengusaha Indonesia/APINDO) and Knowledge Sector Initiative (KSI) at KSI, Ratu Plaza Office Building 9th Floor, Jakarta.
Endy Jaweng, Executive Director KPPOD shared his experiences in building partnership between private sector and policy research institution. Agung Pambudhi, Executive Director of APINDO gave the analysis on the policy research perspective for economic reform from the angle of business. At the end, Janes Imanuel Ginting, Deputy Team Leader of KSI discussed the process of trust building in partnership between KPPOD and APINDO.
This Forum concludes that in building relationship/partnerships between PRI and the private sector, the process of trust building of those parties is a key. Building trust requires a communication between both sides to convey each party’s knowledge or forte in order to meeting shared interest to collaborate. 39 participants attended the Research & Business Forum # 3 from the private sector (including companies, philanthropy and media) and research institutions.
