Partnership Forum: Financing Innovation for Clean Water Access
CCPHI in collaboration with Social Investment Indonesia/SII held an online Partnership Forum on Wednesday, 17 March 2021 with the topic “Financing Innovation for Clean Water Access” presenting the partnership between Danone AQUA and Water.org.
This Partnership Forum discusses innovations in providing access to clean water for the community through alternative funding from financial institutions. This program was started in 2016 by increasing the capacity of KPSPAM (Management Group of Drinking Water Management Facility) to be able to access loans from financial institutions / banks in order to expand clean water services to the community. This program had a major impact in terms of area coverage and number of beneficiaries. To date, the program has facilitated 105 loans with more than 177 thousand beneficiaries.
The participants were very enthusiastic as seen from the many questions asked about the funding mechanism provided by financial institutions as well as the opportunity to collaborate with Danone and water.org.
This collaborative experience sharing event was presented by Okta Fitrianos - Danone AQUA Water Access Manager and Sofie Ariani - Program Manager Water.org. and moderated by Sonny Sukada - Executive Director of CCPHI and Fajar Kurniawan - President Director of SII.
The event was attended by 72 participants consisting of the private sector, government and NGOs. To watch reruns of this event, please access Facebook at the following link:https://fb.watch/4qgASDu6Ga/ or though the youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8ZcU9URDa4
