CCPHI Participation in the Dissemination of Research Results on the Nutritional Status Map of Toddlers in Rokan Hulu with the Tanoto Foundation and the Smeru Institute
CCPHI participated in the dissemination of the research results of the “Compilation of a Map of the Nutritional Status of Toddlers in Indonesia” conducted by the SMERU Institute. SMERU compiled the stunting map in six districts in Indonesia, including Rokan Hulu District, Pekanbaru. Specifically for the development of stunting maps in Rokan Hulu, the SMERU Institute partnered with the Tanoto Foundation. The dissemination event itself was held on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at the Sapadia Hotel, Rokan Hulu, Riau.
Stunting is a national issue that is one of the government's priorities. The Tanoto Foundation, as one of the philanthropic institutions in Indonesia that focuses on dealing with educational issues, sees the strong link between nutrition problems and children's developmental abilities, so being part of this research is considered the right step. Not only hoping to contribute, the Tanoto Foundation also hopes that this research can encourage the desire of other parties to be involved so that more similar programs will be developed in Indonesia. CCPHI was invited to attend the event to support the Tanoto Foundation's hopes to maximize the dissemination of information about this stunting research to a wider scope.
This event was attended by all representatives of the Rokan Hulu local government and related agencies, representatives of universities in Riau, academics and representatives from TNP2K. Through this event, CCPHI is expected to be able to follow up in the form of organizing a similar forum in Jakarta.
