Indonesia MDGs Awards 2012
Office of the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Indonesia for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) held the Indonesia MDGs Awards (IMA) 2012 on March 26, 2013 in Bali. IMA is annual award-giving event for companies, local governments and non-governmental organizations throughout the country who have contributed to the achievement of the MDGs in the best possible way.
Executive Director of the Company-Community Partnerships for Health in Indonesia (CCPHI), Kemal Soeriawidjaja was the moderator in a panel discussion titled "Action Oriented Innovations in Development" which discussed global partnerships, innovative ideas, and network building for the achievement of the MDGs. In addition, Catharina Widjaja, Director of PT. Gajah Tunggal Tbk and one of CCPHI's board members was speaking on the company's program on HIV prevention in the workplace.
The awards were given to district/municipality office, business sectors, non-governmental organizations, and youth organizations, for five categories i.e maternal and children's health, sanitation and clean water, education, nutrition and preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS and malaria.
We would like to congratulate members of HBRI who have won the IMA 2012 - Danone Aqua's School Supporting Program as the best education program from business sector, Perkumpulan Persada on its Healthy Village program as the best maternal and child health program from NGOs, Pertamina SEHATI as the best maternal and child health program from business sector, and Faculty of Medicine - Padjadjaran University HEBAT Program or Living Healthy Together as the best program in prevention of infectious disease from academic institution.
