Special Forum: Partnerships with Private Sector for Biodiversity Conservation
CCPHI and Burung Indonesia (BI) facilitated a Special Forum on 25 February 2020 to present the partnership program of BI with ETAB Technologies to increase public awareness about the conservation of wild birds and their habitats in Indonesia. Sonny Sukada acts as the moderator in the Forum which was attended by representatives from the private sector, the media and NGOs.
BI was established to work with the local community to protect wild bird species and their habitats in Indonesia. BI has successfully developed various initiatives and models of strengthened natural resource management which were affected directly by the local communities. These programs are able to mainstream the biodiversity management into policies at various levels up to people's daily lives.
ETAB is a touchscreen platform which provides space for promotional contents and advertisements in digital tablets. ETAB provides free space for BI to promote and raise awareness about wild birds and also call for donation through cash or merchandise to help the cause. This digital tablet can be found in online transportation services such as Bluebird, Go-Car, and Grabcar. This collaboration is expected to introduce what BI has worked and also raise the fundraising for biodiversity conservation in Indonesia.
