The 10th Health & Business Forum: Partnership through Teman Kanker Application Technology
CCPHI with IBM Indonesia facilitated the 10th Health & Business Forum on Thursday, 26 April 2018, at the IBM office, The Plaza Office Tower Fl. 16, Jakarta. This Forum featured a partnership between IBM Indonesia and the Indonesian Childhood Cancer Foundation (YOAI) with the theme "Build Awareness on Childhood Cancer through Teman Kanker Technology Application ".
The aim of this partnership program is to increase community awareness of childhood cancer utilizing mobile application. This app works in connecting doctors, people with cancer and or survivors, medical practitioners, volunteers and those concerned about cancer. This apps also aims to create a supporter ecosystem that help the healing process for children with cancer and identify cancer early detection.
Rahmi Adi Putra Tahir, YOAI Chairwoman stated that "Teman Kanker app is also intended to straighten out the people’s perception related to cancer, among other is that childhood cancer can’t be cured”.
IBM Indonesia (https://www.ibm.com/ibm/id/en/...) is an American company that produces and selling hardware, software and solutions. Established in Indonesia since 1937 under the name of Watson Bedriffsmachine Java NV. While The Indonesian Childhood Cancer Foundation /YOAI ( http://www.yoaifoundation.org/about-us-1-who-we-are-lang-id.html) is an organization with vision to assist the government efforts in developing children welfare on health care, especially early detection and treatment for children with cancer in Indonesia and also to raise community awareness on childhood cancer.
This Forum was attended by 44 participants from companies, NGOs, and media. Rahmi Hidayati –Yayasan Lentari was the moderator of the discussion
